AWIM National OlympicsWe are very happy to inform that SAEINDIA, the premier Professional Society serving the automotive fraternity in India , is growing very rapidly from strength to strength, with more than 24,000 members and is the largest affiliate of SAE International. SAEINDIA conducts many specific competitions to empower and encourage its students. A World In Motion (AWIM) is also one such initiatives, which is aimed at training school students across the country. The first edition of this event was held in Chennai in 2008 and it received an overwhelming response from the schools. This year it is planned to take it further by reaching out to more schools and in different parts of the country. AWIM National Olympics is scheduled from 14th to 15th of November, 2009 at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune, which was a venue for Common Wealth Youth Games 2008 and may be a future venue of International Olympics 2020. This stadium has all the required facilities including lodging and boarding facility for outstation students. More than 100 students across the country expected to participate. As a student exchange programme one team from the USA is invited to participate in the National Olympics |
